How to communicate with ghosts?

Well, Long story short I live in a haunted apartment with my gf. Recently, strange things have been occurring that made me superstitious. There is a black cat scratching on my window every night at 9 oc. I have been also have horrendous dreams lately. I even found a snake in my toilet. I looked at it closely and it was gone. Whenever I wake up the window is always closed and my girlfriend is pissed at me because she thinks i'm playing a prank on her. The scariest thing about it all was that I was starring into the bathroom window and suddenly my eyes turned red like blood. I know i'm not going crazy but really something strange is going on. The sadest thing about it is how I had a dream about my mom dying and the next day she died in a car accident.
