A question for Sikhs and Hindus and all compassionate religions?

Have you ever looked upon the present condition of our dairy farm...how the cows are treated and milk is obtained....im asking because i feel a moral guilt and I've turned vegan.... Do you know dairy rapes cow, produces veal( it's horrendous) and ultimately sells cow to a slaughter house.... Hinduism teaches cow is our mother and Sikhism is a compassionate religion..... So i wanna ask have done the right thing and what are your views?
