What to wear with parachute pants?

Okay so my brother got me a pair but they are not as horrendous as most parachute pants. The crotch doesn't hang too low like most do. Honestly they just look like baggy/poofy black pants with bands in the waist and ankles. ( kind if reminds me of the pants princess jasmine wears lol) anyways I want to wear them so as not to hurt his feelings (plus I must admit they have grown on me). What type of and color of shirt should I wear???? And what about shoes?
