How do you shield a 3.5 millimeter audio cable?

My laptops sound card isn't shielded very well, and I run it to an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. I have 3.5 millimeter running from my surround sound to my computer. When my monitor, keyboard, and mouse are connected I get horrendous feedback from the speakers. Is there any way to temporarily shield them until I get a shielded audio cable?
